High-nitrogen lawn fertilizers are contributing to our water pollution problems, impacting both our drinking water and our surface waters. Legislation is pending in Albany that would limit the amount of water-soluble nitrogen in lawn fertilizers sold or used on Long Island.
This common sense legislation, sponsored in the Assembly by Steve Englebright and in the Senate by Todd Kaminsky, will help reduce our nitrogen pollution problem with almost no cost. Learn more about the legislation.
